By accessing, browsing, or using the Lawvara platform ("Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. This constitutes a binding legal agreement between you and Information Technology Pexels & Systems Limited ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Information Technology Pexels and Systems Limited and its licensors. This includes, but is not limited to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these provisions without prior notice.
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be submitted to good-faith mediation. If mediation is unsuccessful, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Abia State, Nigeria, conducted in accordance with the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023. Nothing in this section shall prevent either party from seeking injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Lawvara. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You acknowledge and agree that Information Technology Pexels and Systems Limited shall not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss caused by your use of any such third-party content, goods, or services.

By applying to a job posting, you expressly authorize Lawvara to share your full profile, CV, and application materials only with the specific employer associated with that job posting. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is shared solely for the purpose for which it was collected: facilitating your job search and connecting you with potential employers.
Our platform utilizes Automated Decision-Making (ADM) systems, including our proprietary SmartMatch Score, to rank and recommend candidates to employers based on job requirements and profile alignment.
Important: All hiring decisions are ultimately made by human recruiters at the employing organizations. The SmartMatch Score is an advisory tool and does not constitute a final hiring decision. In accordance with NDPA principles, you have the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing.
Lawvara may offer optional paid career services including CV review, profile optimization, and career coaching. These services are advisory in nature and do not guarantee job placement, interview invitations, or employment outcomes. By purchasing these services, you acknowledge that results may vary and that Information Technology Pexels and Systems Limited's liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service.

Lawvara offers tiered subscription plans for employers. Payment terms, features, and pricing are available on our Pricing page. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as explicitly stated in your service agreement. Annual prepayment discounts may be available.
For the purposes of the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable data protection laws:
The Employer is responsible for the lawfulness of data processing once candidate data is downloaded or accessed outside the Lawvara platform.

Lawvara is not liable for any illegal job postings, discriminatory hiring practices, or data protection violations by the Employer.
The Employer acknowledges and agrees that Lawvara may use anonymized and aggregated usage data (such as patterns of which candidates are advanced or rejected) to continuously train and improve Lawvara's proprietary algorithms and machine learning models, and for aggregate statistical reporting. This data is stripped of personally identifiable information and cannot be traced back to individual candidates or employers. This usage is essential for maintaining and improving the SmartMatch scoring system that benefits all platform users.
Lawvara reserves the right to remove, suspend, or terminate any job posting or employer account that is deemed to be spam, fraudulent, misleading, or in violation of these Terms of Service or our Prohibited Conduct policies. Such action may be taken without prior notice based on our automated moderation systems and human review processes. This right is essential to maintain platform integrity and protect job seekers from fraudulent opportunities.
